Vouchers are £3.00 per person plus 25p admin, (adults and children). This allows access to the pumpkin fields for photo opportunities to admire the spectacle of acres of beautiful pumpkins ( less as they are sold) and a 20 % discount off the price of pumpkins that you pick ( normally £1.20 per kg .. only 96p per kg with the online voucher) £2.00 per kg for Squashes , these are the smaller more decorative “pumpkins”

Farmer Paul Pumpkins

Our pumpkins are nurtured by hand from little seeds in our greenhouses until they are large enough to be planted out in the field.

A lot of time, sweat and love go into growing our fabulous pumpkins which not only look fantastic when carved in to Halloween lanterns but are delicious to eat as well.

We specialise in Giant Pumpkins as well as a large selection of the classic orange jack-o-lantern. We also have a huge variety of unusual gourds and funky pumpkins in many different shapes and sizes.

Our pumpkins will be on sale early October. They are displayed in The Pumpkin Barn, which is the perfect space for choosing your pumpkin as we are undercover you keep dry when it rains!

A FANG-TASTIC day out to not only pick your PURR-FECT Halloween pumpkin but also get some amazing photographs and let the LIL’ MOSTERS run WILD in our play areas. Grab some freshly prepared food, mulled apple juice, barista coffee and delicious cake from the PARANORMAL Patch Pantry – housed this year in our enclosed marquee so you can shelter and warm yourselves up!

The Patch this year has been planted in a grid system (wonder where we got that idea from MK) with large grass rides and smaller grass paths allowing for all areas to be reached more easily!

There are photo ops galore throughou t the pumpkin patch, sit in the devils throne, hide in the pumpkin house, marvel at the giant pumpkin, fly on the witches broom and climb the viewing platform to see the patch from above.

Earlier this year, Farmer Rob planted over 30,000 pumpkin seeds! This should give you a choice of over 60,000 pumpkins!*

This year we have hunted far and wide to bring you an even greater choice! The Hewitt family are planting around 28,000 pumpkin plants this year to celebrate the return of the Dunham Pumpkin Patch.

From 22 October to 30 October, you can board the haunted Vintage Tractor and you’ll be taken to the Healeys Pumpkin Patch to pick out your very own pumpkin! After you’ve found the perfect pumpkin, it’s time to get creative in the Rattler Bar, which will be transformed into a spooky pumpkin carving family workshop!

Each ticket includes a tractor ride plus a medium-sized pumpkin for your child to carve and proudly display at home. We will provide all of the carving tools (adult supervision required) and better yet… we’ll tidy up all of the mess afterwards!

Adult tickets also include the tractor ride and pumpkin, however, you’re welcome to swap your pumpkin for a pint of Cyder instead.

East Grange PYO Pumpkins

We grow all the pumpkins we sell so we may have to close before the 31st if we run out of pumpkins.

This year we will grow over 70,000 pumpkins spread out over 20 acres. There will be 17 varieties, 6 different colours and sizes ranging from 500g all the way to 12kg. Don’t worry about carrying all those pumpkins as we will have plenty of wheelbarrows on hand to help.

This year has been a challenge for us pumpkin growers but we have more varieties to choose from and of course more brilliant decorations for family photo opportunities!

As usual no booking is required and there is no charge for parking or entry. Pumpkins are priced according to size. Don’t forget to visit the Craft Fair (Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th) in the old barn.

Hasty’s Adventure Farm

Come and join us at Hasty’s for our famous ‘Pumpkin Week’

We have a ton of family fun planned for you and the kids over Halloween 2023.

The kids will love following the child-friendly Happy Ghost Trail, taking photos in the Pumpkin Selfie Areas and all the many other activities that add up to a whole day of fun for the family.

There are 3 options to choose from when booking.

Option 1 – Standard entrance 

Enjoy all day entrance to the farm, see our animals, play on the amazing equipment and have fun with our spooky themed mini games.  There will also be various selfie areas around the farm and a toddler/child friendly Little Ghost and Pumpkin trail to complete.

Option 2 – Standard entrance plus a pumpkin to take home.

All of the above, but with entry to our Pumpkin Patch for children to choose a pumpkin to take home.  Adults can accompany children into the patch with a standard ticket.

Option 3 – Premium Pumpkin Experience

A true VIP pumpkin experience!  This option includes all of the Hasty’s Pumpkin Week fun, but with a more involved and personal visit.  Collect your VIP wristband at reception to gain entry to the Pumpkin marquee.  From here you can go into our patch and select a pumpkin.  Staff will then help you scoop it out, carve a face and pop a battery tealight inside.  Then it’s off to our firepit to cook yourself a s’more!  Finally you will be given a activity goodie bag to take home.

Adults can accompany children into the patch with a standard ticket.

Pickwell Farm Pumpkin Patch

We have been growing pumpkins here at Pickwell for 36 years, and the first ones in the local area to offer Pumpkin picking from the fields(since 2014).

We are a no frills Pumpkin Picking experience.
We don’t offer activities, displays, face painting, street food etc.
Just the joys of picking your pumpkin from the field it was grown in!
There is no entrance fee, and no need to pre book tickets.

So, just turn up, grab a wheelbarrow, go to the fields, pick some pumpkins/take a picture, pay & leave.
We have 10 acres of Pumpkin fields for you to roam around.

Let the spooky season commence!

This year Spook-Fest returns, bigger and better than ever. Discover frightfully fun offerings such as pumpkin picking and carving, horrid hay tractor ride, spooky trail, pumpkin bingo, decorations throughout the farm and much more!

Spook-Fest starts on October 15th and runs everyday until October 31st

Spooky Trail – Are you brave enough to enter the Aldenham Mausoleum? It’s said that many farm-goers don’t make it out… and what’s that, did anybody hear a witch?!

Pumpkin Picking & Carving – Pick your very own perfect pumpkin at the pumpkin patch, why not take a selfie; then take your pumpkin over to the carving marquee and show off your skills, the spookier the better! (This activity is separately ticketed, make sure to book to avoid disappointment).

Bug Alley – Spiders, beetles and all of their friends are hanging from above and hiding around every corner, be careful not to get stuck in their webs.

Pumpkin Bingo – Can you find all of the unique pumpkin faces hidden around the farm? If you can find them all a treat awaits you in the farm shop.

Horrid Hay Tractor Ride – Back to take you on a goulish journey around the farm, you’ll spot the resident scarecrows and see our animals from a unique perspective and pulled around by our very tractor and trailer. (This activity is separately ticketed, make sure to book to avoid disappointment).

Monsters Bale Play – Bale play gives the young (and the young at heart) a chance to jump around on real farm bales, make sure you take the best selfies! Oh and did we mention the monsters have taken over?

Its nearly that time of the year again so here is all our Information.
-Opening: Our Pumpkin Patch and Grotto will be open the following days:

• Sat 8th-Sunday 9th, Sat 15th-Sunday 16th, Tues 18th-Wed 19th, 21st-31st October. Note- We will have a smaller selection of Pumpkins available the other days in the farm shop, but the grotto and field will only be open in the dates selected above.
• Admission into the Grotto (Indoors) is FREE to pick a Pumpkin.
  -Admission into the Pumpkin Patch is £2 a person to go and pick a pumpkin.
• Opening Times are 10am-5pm and 10am-4pm on Sundays.
• Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome in the grotto, but unfortunately dogs are NOT allowed into the field. (Please do clear up after your dog)
• Booking does not need to be done, just turn up!
• Farm shop will be open, with its usual opening times.
• Our Farm is a working farm, so it is not open to the public. Please be respectful of our Privacy.

Follow the signs to the pumpkin patch via the Kitchen Garden. We recommend wearing wellies as it can get muddy. Halloween fancy dress is encouraged.

This October we will be open again for pick your own pumpkins. You can pick any pumpkin you can find from small to large, blue, orange, green or white. We have over 30 different varieties of squash and pumpkins to choose from!

Pumpkins are priced from £1 for baby pumpkins up to £10 for giant pumpkins.

You can also carve your pumpkin at the farm and let us take the mess away! Just buy a carving kit and get creating!

Vineyard Farm Shop Pumpkin Picking

Pumpkin picking is open 10am-5pm every day until they are all gone.
You do not need to book.
We don’t charge for entry.
Pumpkins are sold by weight @ £1 per kilo, maximum price for any single pumpkin £6.
There are lots of different sizes and varieties.
We accept cash or card payment.
We do have wheelbarrows available but numbers are limited so please be patient at busy times.
Please wear weather appropriate clothing, waterproofs, wellies or boots that you don’t mind getting mucky (we’ve had a lot of rain this week).
Dogs are welcome but please don’t let them piddle on the pumpkins and if they poo, please clean it up.
Please bring along suitable bags or boxes for transporting your pumpkins home. We have a pumpkin washing station and for anyone who enjoyed taking photos in our ‘pumpkin photo booth’ last year we have gone bigger and better this year.
For anyone not wanting to venture into the field we have ready picked pumpkins by the shop.
A final note:
Keep your pumpkins somewhere cool.
If you can, wait to carve them.
Be aware that they will start to degrade as soon as you cut into them, (I know, the kids will want to carve them NOW (but secretly you know you will be doing the work).

This October half term our first ever Pumpkin Patch will be open for visitors!

Come along to Earth Trust Centre to pick your own pumpkin direct from the growing field on our farm, and lose yourself in our marvellous maize maze. Seasonal treats and refreshments will be available from our pop-up café provided by Wallingford’s 5 Little Pigs.

Get your boots muddy and your hands grubby as you and your little ones have fun with one of our favourite Autumn harvest vegetables (although it is actually a fruit!)

The event runs from Saturday 22nd to Sunday 30th October (excluding Wednesday 26th) and there are morning and afternoon sessions available each day – 10am-12pm and 1-3pm. Booking in advance is essential.

We’ve planted over 125,000 pumpkin seeds of various varieties, over 20 acres, making us one of the largest pumpkin fields in the area.

You can rest assured you’ll find your ‘perfect pumpkin’ match! Once you’ve picked your pumpkin you can head to our pumpkin carving tent and get creative (no mess to clean up at home!).

Our fabulous Pumpkin Fest is now underway. Visitors will be welcomed by Bella, the Becketts Farm Witch, who’ll train your children with some spooky spells. Then, watch their faces light up as they use their newly learnt skills in our mini PUMPKIN PATCH, guarded by the farmer’s spooky scarecrows, one of which seems to have a life of his own!

Choose the perfect pumpkin from our patch (included in your ticket price). After that, head to our carving tables, where our friendly characters will mix and mingle with their top tips to carve and create your jack-o-lantern.

Pumpkin Smash

Green Your Halloween – Don’t trash it – Smash it!
The Great Pumpkin Smash is being launched at a Picking Patch near you on November 6th. At the Smash you will help us to put nutrients back into the soil and you can bring your pumpkins back to compost properly, rather than fall up more landfill. We could go on and on about the virtue of The Smash but as this is the Picking Patch we would rather talk about having fun!

At The Smash, you can get on the oche and play pumpkin darts, Don’t be bashful – have a go at the pumpkin shy, Anyone for gourd cricket or a game of bowls! The wheelbarrow derby, who can be the best loo roll mummy, campfire sing along and hot chocolate and marshmallows are all waiting for you.

The Great Pumpkin Smash is aiming to raise lots of money in aid of Great Ormond St so please come and join us for an afternoon of fun, games and laughs!
