Aln Valley Railway

Teddy bears go free!
Travel by Steam service in compartment carriages from the 1950’s and enjoy a leisurely trip from our terminus at Lionheart down to our new halt at Greenrigg. There, watch the locomotive run round the train before it returns to Lionheart.
Regretfully, due to ongoing construction works, alighting or boarding at Greenrigg is not permitted at this time.

Avon Valley Railway

Our popular Teddy Bears Picnic event returns for 2021! All children who bring their teddy bear travel FREE on this special weekend.
Your family group or support bubble will be seated either in separate compartments or around tables well away from other passengers to maintain social distancing. There will be hand sanitiser available when you arrive as well as onboard the train, and our volunteers will be cleaning the train between journeys too (we’ve increased the gap between train times to help us achieve this safely). But, most importantly, we want you to have an enjoyable day out with us!
After your train journey there will be additional activities (to be confirmed) and our station cafe will be open too.

The children will love our Woodland Walk and chance to spot the teddy bears along the route.

Isle of Wight Steam Railway

William the Station Master bear will be making the rules and he’s allowing all children who come to the Railway with their favourite bear, a FREE travel journey on the Railway.
Kids go free when accompanied by a teddy bear (maximum of 2 free children per fare paying adult).
