In recent years many of the farm parks have diversified, there are lots of different activities taking place throughout the year including Lamb feeding, Maize Mazes, Sunflower Fields and Pumpkin Patches.
A fairly new addition to the list of activities is a Potato Patch, where you go along to the area, armed with your gardening tools and dig up your own potatoes.
There are a few farm parks currently with a Potato patch, but I am sure there will be more to follow.
Farm Parks With A Potato Patch
Cotswold Farm Park Potato Patch
Location : Guiting Power, Cheltenham GL54 5FL
30th August – 25th September 2022
Potato season is back, so it’s time to grab some tools (including wheelbarrows and trugs!) and get digging at the Potato Patch!
Whether your little farmers enjoy mashed, boiled or baked potatoes, they’ll be in for a treat with this year’s delicious variety of Maris Piper and Red Skin Desiree potatoes!
The season kicks off on 30th August until 25th September and the patch will be open for entry between 11.00am – 4.00 on weekdays and 11.00am – 5.00pm on the weekends.
Entry to the patch is included in your Farm Park admission, don’t forget to buy your tickets online in advance.

Hatton Adventure World Potato & sweetcorn Shindig
Location : Dark Ln, Hatton, Warwick CV35 8XA
10th September – 16th October 2022
When visiting Hatton Adventure World why not teach your children whilst having lots of fun! We welcome you to come along and pick your own potatoes & sweetcorn, straight from our fields.
The vegetable fields will be open 11am-5pm (Crop dependant) alongside a full day of Hatton fun with LOTS of additional activities too!
Our potato field will be is open, so bring a bag and get digging for some lovely spuds for tea! Entrance to our Potato Shindig is included in your Hatton Adventure World admission

Odds Farm Park Potato Harvest
Location : Wooburn Common, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire HP10 0LX
9th – 11th, 16th – 18th, 23 – 25th September 2022
Join us this September and help to harvest the first crops from our potato patch! Our younger guests can get hands-on and have a go at digging for potatoes, which they are invited to take home to enjoy.* Hurry, whilst stocks last!

Willows Activity Farm Potato Shindig
Location : Coursers Rd, St Albans AL4 0PF

Get your dungarees on, it’s time to dig up your FREE bucket of potatoes at Willows Potato Patch. Join us this September for a fun-tattie-tastic family day out!
We’ve more than 20 tonnes of potatoes waiting to be harvested (that’s the equivalent of three and a half elephants) and invite keen young harvesters to grab a spade and start digging. All paying children will take home a bag of their own delicious spuds!
We’ve a fun-filled day in store for you including our Puddle Play Park where you’re guaranteed a splashing good time! Come rain or shine, little ones will love having fun in our latest addition at Willows so don’t forget your towels.

Wroxham Barns Potato Picking
Location : Tunstead Rd, Hoveton, Norwich NR12 8QU
Every weekend until October Half Term 2022
Every weekend until October Half term enjoy POTATO PICKING included in your entry, head out to our Potato Field and dig and pick your very own potatoes to take home! – So much fun!
Your day out also includes All the fun of Junior Farm where you will meet our friendly animals which include; Chickens, Donkeys, Pigs, Ponies, Turkeys, Ducks, Alpacas, Goats and of course our Pregnant sheep!
Visit Guinea Pig Village THEN onto the all-new Fun Park which is also included in your ticket! We have 18 hole mini Golf, Wroxham Barns Train, Pirate Ship, Toyset ride, Go-Karts, Water Wars, Jumping Pillows, Sand Play and Jumping Frogs, all included with unlimited play!
