We are very lucky in Norfolk to have such an amazing array of places to go and see Christmas Lights and Illuminated Trails, plus, nearly every Norfolk Town has a brilliant Lights Switch On during November and December.
The only problem is that they do sell out quite quickly, so if you are thinking of visiting any Norfolk Christmas Light events, make sure you don’t leave it until the last minute.

Blickling Wild Winter After Dark

Begin your evening journeying through the magically lit walled garden, before heading into the garden illuminated with colour and light.
Listen out for the sounds of nature as you explore, take in the natural scent of the trees in the illuminated Arboretum and look out for tracks and footprints along the way – can you spot all the animals on your way to the festive Farmyard?

Fairhaven Christmas Lights Walk
Location : School Rd, South Walsham, Norwich NR13 6DZ
Enjoy the magic of the gardens after dark, lit up by glowing Christmas lights. Follow our lights trail around the gardens and spot the hidden twinkles through the trees.
From the Sensory garden to the crocodile walk, you´ll get the sense of Christmas come early and get that seasonal tingle of excitement.
Finish up with a warm cup of Hot Chocolate or a lovely mulled wine to sip under the Lights in the picnic area. Maybe even grab a marshmallow to toast on our fire pit. (Parental assistance required).
The lights will be on but feel free to bring a torch if you have one.
The inside of the tearoom will only be available for the toilets. Service will be from the outside window only.

Luminate at Sandringham

As darkness descends, join us on our enchanting journey, as we weave a captivating light trail through the Royal Parkland at Sandringham.
Immerse yourself in our mesmerising mile long trail, with stunning lighting elements and fabulous light play, all set to ambient music.
A timeless experience to be enjoyed by all, young and old alike.

Norfolk Lights Express
Location : North Norfolk Railway, Station Approach Sheringham NR26 8RA
The Norfolk Lights Express is an immersive, wintertime experience that is fun for the whole family! Arrive after dark at Sheringham Station and you’ll be greeted by the magical sight of a steam hauled train illuminated by thousands of tiny lights. The Old Luggage Office buffet will be open for you to purchase hot soup, hot drinks, alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, delicious homemade cakes and savoury refrshments.
Since its debut in 2019, The Norfolk Lights Express has become firmly established as a favourite seasonal treat. As your train steams from Sheringham to Holt and back, you’ll pass a series of colourful, lit-up dioramas and literally see the countryside adjoining the track in a whole new light as the on board lights shine on the scenery in a series of changing colours.

Thursford Enchanted Journey of Light

When twilight falls the magic begins!
Your journey will progress into the Fantasyland Building, you will travel past the penguins and polar bears to the giant-sized teddy bears!
Get ready to see how the elves have loaded Santa’s sleigh, then past the busy elves hard at work in the toy factory using the wondrous wrapping machine!
Throughout your journey you’ll meet lots of fantasy land characters including the snowman family, make sure you watch out for their snowballs!
Your journey continues as you venture outside to the Lantern Light Extravaganza, with lots of creatures to marvel at- a beautiful, breath-taking festival of luminous sculptures, from a fantasy underwater world to the wilds of the North Pole. Watch out for the naughty mushroom gnomes!
