Tonight Eowyn and I were invited along to the opening night at Norwich Theatre for Now Thats What I Call A Musical!
I LOVE 80s music, and I am proud to say that Eowyn shares my love of the music of that decade, so we were both extremely excited to watch this new musical, we spent the longer than usual car ride to the theatre (Norwich at home tonight!) listening to the playlist, and it really put us in the mood!
If you haven’t heard of this new musical yet, here’s what it’s all about!

What Did We Think of Now Thats What I Call A Musical
If there is one musical that you choose to watch this year, make it this one! We both ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! I am still grinning and singing those banging 80’s tunes, and wondering if Sinitta will ever age!!
From the moment you enter the theatre you are met with that well known chart topping compilation logo, and an awesome 80s playlist in the background that had us singing and tapping our toes before it even started!
The entire cast were truly outstanding, every single one of them gave it 110%, this show made me belly laugh, it had me reminiscing about old TV adverts, nodding at some of the antics, and at times a lump in my throat, so basically it had a bit of everything!
Stand out performance for me was young April, played by Maia Hawkins, I couldn’t believe when I read the program that it’s her professional performance debut, utterly amazing!
The special guest for the Norwich leg of the tour is Sinitta, who was brilliant, and took me back to my school disco days with So Macho!
Our favourite part of the show, we both agreed was the scene where we are treated to a flashback of when Gemma and Tim met, absolutely hilarious!
