Last weekend we were invited along to BeWILDerwood to check out their latest addition to this wonderful park, the Towering Treetop Tangles, and it didn’t disappoint!
Welcome to The Towering Treetop Tangles
We are huge fans of BeWILDerwood, not only is it an amazing day out but they support Autism Anglia which is very close to my heart, so we knew it was going to be a great day!
We arrived bright and early last Saturday morning, which was quite an achievement to get the four children out of the house! Lochlan stayed behind to take care of puppy Bree and Neva had been knee deep in gcse exams all week, so stayed home for some much needed peace and quiet!
It seemed quite strange only taking out the four children, but I guess they are all growing up so quick! First order of the day, a trip to the Snack Shack for some delicious breakfast, Tyrus and I opted for the fruit and pastries, the rest tucked into bacon rolls! After breakfast it was time to join the parade through the Wild Woods, led by author and creator Tom Blofeld and members of the Junior Boggle Board to the Towering Treetop Tangles.
Tom recited a specially written poem, and we were showered in eco-confetti to mark the opening of the latest BeWILDerwood attraction. The structure reaches more than 30 feet high and covers more than 1000 square feet, it is aimed at the slightly older children, encouraging creative, free-spirited play, and the best part is that the adults can enjoy all the fun too!
Having children aged 5 to 13 on the structure told me that it was a big hit with all of them, and the creative play certainly came into it’s own, as Viggo climbed and crawled along with his older siblings, describing how he was going to attack the next obstacle.
However the biggest highlight for me was Tyrus, as many of you will know he is not a very talkative chap and verges on non verbal in new situations, but the non stop chatter and excitement that was apparent did make me feel slightly emotional!
His lack of danger sometimes has me in near heart failure, but I had no problem letting him run, climb and explore throughout the entire BeWILDerwood Park, and this new structure was no exception, if anything it was mum who was slightly slower than the children getting round some of the steeper inclines!
After the official opening of Towering Treetop Tangles was completed, we were free to explore the rest of the park, the children are quite familiar with the layout of the park and each had their favourite place they wanted to go to first, ranging from zip wires to giant slides, but with a full day still ahead of us there was plenty of time to explore each and every corner of The Curious Treehouse Adventure, and the children certainly made the most of it!
The children had an amazing day and I know that the Towering Treetop Tangles is going to be a huge hit with all of the children who are visiting throughout the half term and beyond, with so many different areas to explore, you can go on the structure numerous times and always find yourself in a part you have never been in before.
We weren’t the only ones that had a fab time, check out these guys for their thoughts too.

we were invited along to BeWILDerwood as guests for the day
Oh this is a great surprise to me! As I have been living in the UK for just three years I have lots to see and discover! Great park, I want to bring by boys!
This looks AMAZING!! My kids (and us adults!) would love every minute of this.
Thank you for sharing, we will be making a plan to go ASAP x
We have a place like this near us in France and my kids have loved it since they were little. My youngest is now 13 and he still loves it, they are such great places aren’t they?
Where abouts in the U.K. is this? That giant slide looks fab! My son is 7 and would love this place x

I was gutted to have missed this day! Looked like you had a great time.
Wow, it looks like an amazing place to take the kids! Love the Zip Line photo too.
This looks fantastic! I love that older kids are encouraged to play too. It can be hard getting older ones to play around. I will look it up as it looks like such a fun day out.
This place looks amazing!! My kids would love it there
Looks amazing and like such great fun for the kids! MY boys would love this, they are both really into climbing much to my despair – my anxiety can’t cope with them even climbing a tree!xx
