Last night Lochlan and Natalie went along to the opening night of Here and Now – The Steps Musical, I was unable to attend so Lochlan was more than happy to take my place, he is a HUGE Steps fan.

Asa bought me tickets for my ‘big’ birthday, so we went to see it too and I was really looking forward to it especially after hearing all about it from Lochlan!
What is Here and Now The Steps Musical All About ?
Get your party on with HERE AND NOW, the hilarious, brand-new musical based on the songs of multi-million-selling pop phenomenon, Steps. Hailed as the “biggest jukebox hit since MAMMA MIA!” (The Sun), don’t miss this feel-good celebration of love and friendship as it tours the UK & Ireland following a record-breaking world premiere.

It’s Friday night and the vibe is right as Caz and her fabulous friends dream of the perfect summer of love. But when Caz discovers her ‘happy ever after’ is a lie, and the gang’s attempts at romance are a total tragedy, they wonder – will love ever get a hold on their hearts? Or should they all just take a chance on a happy ending…

Move your feet and feel the beat to the iconic pop anthems of a generation in a night of “musical heaven” (The Star on Sunday). Produced by Steps, ROYO (Kinky Boots, The Cher Show), and Pete Waterman, HERE AND NOW includes the hits One for Sorrow, Better The Devil You Know, Deeper Shade of Blue, 5, 6, 7, 8 and more.

Now’s the time for feeling alright, so experience the joy of this brand-new, original British musical, directed by the award-winning Rachel Kavanaugh (Half a Sixpence, The Great British Bake Off Musical).
Book your tickets now. It’d be a tragedy to miss it!
Lochlans Thoughts on The Steps Musical…
It was a great show that nicely connected its songs with its narrative as a Steps Fan I was thoroughly pleased throughout.
The singers put great energy into the singing and the jokes were hilarious.

My Thoughts on Here and Now
What an utterly brilliant show, from the first moment the Supermarket setting came alive, with bright pinks and blues, the entire cast gave it their all, some of the ensemble were just as mesmerising as the main cast, special mention to Casey Jay who was outstanding.
Caz (Lara Denning), Vel (Jacqui Dubois), Neeta ( Rosie Singham) and Robbie (Blake Patrick Anderson) were all brilliant, I loved all of their characters and their individual storylines.

River Medway’s portrayal of Jem was amazing, Ben (Ben Darcy) Tracey (lauren Woolf) and Lesley (John Stacey) were hilarious.
The set was one of my favourites, the use of the checkouts and the trolleys made for a brilliant backdrop, and the use of many supermarket gimmicks was excellent.
