Artificial Wisdom – I used to love reading and taking part in book tours, but its seems like forever ago that I had time to sit down and read a book.
However now that the children are all older, its given me a little more time to spend enjoying the things I love, one of which is reading a good book, so going forward you can expect more book reviews.
Although I have to admit once I get my nose in a book, not much else matters!
So lets get back to the task in hand and tell you about this book…..
Artificial Wisdom Synopsis
In 2050, the earth’s climate is out of control.
A heatwave has killed millions across the Persian Gulf, including the wife of journalist Marcus Tully. But he has a lead like no other: that the heatwave was unnaturally diverted by geo-engineering from hitting the USA.
The president who gave the order is now running for an even greater office: dictator of the nation states, with a short-term mandate to make the hard decisions the nations can’t in order to prevent a climate apocalypse.
His final opponent is the world’s first AI politician, Solomon, governor of New Carthage, a floating, domed city-state protecting the elite. Solomon’s creator may have the evidence Tully needs to make his case to the world, but in the middle of the most important election in history, someone will do anything to stop the truth coming out.
Artificial Wisdom Review
Artificial Wisdom is described as a “murder mystery, techno-thriller that takes you on a journey through a future too close for comfort” and what a journey it is!
This really was a can’t put down read! You found yourself absorbed into this futuristic world, with your own visions of what our world will look like.
The descriptions of the virtual world, and the ease at which you can access it and ‘meet up’ with people without having to leave your own space. The ability to conjure up scenes from your past to make your own space specifically to you had me enthralled from the onset.
The story centres around the journalist Marcus Tully who is trying to find answers to previous events that ended in tragedy for his family, but whilst trying to uncover the truth, the plot twists and turns and you are pulled deeper into the situation.
If you are looking for a brilliant murder mystery set in the future then this is definitely one for you, but make sure you set time aside, and don’t try to cook the children’s dinner whilst reading, or you may end up with a charcoaled mess!
