Top 10 Places to Visit in Norfolk This Half Term

So, here we are on the first official day of the February Half Term Holiday, one week to enjoy the tie with your children and to also discover some fabulous places to visit, so here is my top ten for February.

  1. Banham Zoo

Banham Zoo situated in Banham, Norfolk. Just type in NR16 2HE to the Sat Nav and you will arrive! With over 2,000 animals and set over 50 acres, you are guaranteed a great day out, my favourite is the penguin enclosure and getting up close and personal with the Lemurs!

2. Broads Tours


Broads Tours situated in Wroxham NR12 8RX.  Broads Tours offer river trips and day boat hire on the Norfolk Broads, offering everyone the chance to relax on Britain’s magical waterland.From Sunday 12th – Saturday 18th February Kids Go Free! Check out here for more details

3. Bure Valley Railway

Bure Valley Railway NR11 6BW, is hosting a Teddy Bear Express from Saturday 11th February – Sunday 19th February. Join our mascot bear for a half-term week of fun! Free travel for every child when accompanied by a full fare-paying adult. Check out here for more details.

4. Circus Fantasia

Circus Fantasia is at Great Yarmouth Stadium NR30 5TE. Come and relax in our theatre style big top and enjoy a live 2 hour show suitable for all the family. It doesn’t matter if you are 2 or 92, you are sure to have an excellent time inside the Circus Fantasia big top. Our 2017 production features the amazing O.G. Juniors from the Hungarian State Circus with their death defying springboard act, S.D. on the aerial net, hand voltige acrobats, hula hoops, chair balancing, the beautiful Miss Reka with her aerial umbrella, hand balancing and lots more, plus of course our Masters of Mayhem – The Spanish Rivelinos Clowns. Shows taking place Saturday 11th February – Sunday 19th February.

5. Dinosaur Adventure

Dinosaur Adventure situated in Lenwade NR9 5JW Bug Week from Saturday 11th February – Sunday 19th February. Join us for our ever-popular ‘Bug Week’, with lots of animal handling and hands-on activities, including a prehistoric bug hunt and creepy crawly crafts. 6. Jump Warehouse

Jump warehouse Great Yarmouth Trampoline park, located at Main Cross Road, Great Yarmouth NR30 3NZ. Trampolining is one of the best exercises you can do, and it’s fun too! For kids, adults, and everybody in-between, book now to reserve your space and save money online. This is perfect if you are looking for something fun to do with the children, especially in February! 7. Redwings Horse Sanctuary Caldecott

Redwings Caldecott is the largest visitor centre and currently home to almost 120 horses, ponies, donkeys and mules. Here you can meet gentle giant Poppy the Shire and her best friend Gemma, plus a whole herd of donkeys and mules (34 to be precise!) – including adorable donkey Esther and Muffin the Mule! 8. Sealife Centre Great Yarmouth

Sealife Centre Great Yarmouth located in the middle of the Golden Mile NR30 3AH. Dive into the underwater world of SEA LIFE Great Yarmouth and be wowed by the many strange, beautiful and fascinating creatures of the deep. Prepare for astonishing close views of everything from humble starfish to tropical sharks, all in displays which carefully recreate their natural habitats.

9. Theatre Royal Norwich

Theatre Royal Norwich is the perfect place for a night out this half term, from Monday 13th February – Saturday 18th February you can watch the amazing Thriller Live 2017. THRILLER LIVE takes you on a visual, audio and electrifying journey through the magic of Michael’s 45 year musical history. You will experience over two hours of non-stop hits from pop to rock, soul to disco as the cast pay homage to Jackson’s legendary live performances and innovative dance moves executed with flair, precision and passion.

10. Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens

Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens situated in Filby, a short drive from Great Yarmouth NR29 3DR. Featuring 250-year-old landscaped gardens, a play area and superb willow pattern garden. Renowned for its collection of Asian Mammals, birds and reptiles in the pleasantly landscaped grounds and gardens of Thrigby Hall.
